How Never To Struggle Losing Weight Again!

How honest do you want to get about the reasons why you cant lose weight? Are you on a constant search hoping that the magic pill, diet, or exercise program will solve the problem? I believe that it takes a certain level of self awareness and self responsibility to look honestly as to why we experience certain issues such as weight gain.

Reasons Why We Cant Lose Weight

I think we are all aware of the very obvious reasons the media tells us every day, such as: lack or exercise, the wrong type of exercise, over eating, eating too much of the 'wrong' foods, not going on the latest diet, buying the right kind of equipment, not eating the 'right' foods, drinking the right shake, not being on the diet that a celebrity is on, etc.

If you stop for a moment, step back and observe what’s actually behind all these messages you will see that its all about us not doing it right, that we are wrong, and we must endure a life of strict discipline to be accepted by society. We are constantly made to feel guilty, not good enough, unwanted, rejected, unlovable, not quite there yet. Its like we are on a constant trip seeking approval from an endlessly unsatisfied superficial society.

Starting Point To Any Weight Loss Motive

I believe its time to take back our power and start to focus on what we actually feel good about regarding our body. There are a multitude of reasons, and combinations of why we could be overweight. Yes I agree it can range from not exercising enough, eating too much processed food, lacking certain vitamins and minerals, not drinking enough water, having a poor digestion and metabolism, suffering from an illness such as depression, hormonal dysfunction, poor thyroid, etc.
And I'm not saying that these very important issues don’t need to be addressed because they absolutely do! My own thirty year journey with type one diabetes has impacted on my ability to be the 'ideal' weight, so I fully understand these considerations.

However, what I'm suggesting here is to become aware of the energetic, emotional aspect of why you do things, don’t want to do things, and how you actually FEEL. And what is the whole weight loss industry possibly manipulating us to conclude?

I believe that regardless if you have a current illness, are obese, or over weight, we need to start doing it from a place of self acceptance and self love.

My favorite mantra is “I am where I am, and its ok”. I feel relief when I say that to myself, its like I get my power back. The self judgement and self criticism stops. And from that point of accepting myself, whatever state that I may be in, I'm ok.

It is from THIS point that you can make choices based on what you honestly FEEL is right for you.
Start a weight loss program, diet, and exercise routine from a place of loving acceptance. Not guilt, fear, criticism or comparison. Those emotions are very dis-empowering and virtually guarantee that its only a matter of time before you 'fail' to reach your goal.

The Crucial Component Of Losing Weight

I believe that this emotional component of weight loss is crucial to look at if you are serious about reaching your full potential.

In truth, we cant judge ourselves or others by what they look like on the outside because we don’t know what they are dealing with on the inside. Yet we spend so much time comparing ourselves.

Unexpressed grief, anger, fear, low self worth, subconscious negative beliefs, and trauma can all sabotage the full expression of a beautiful soul hiding behind an obese body.

A New Perspective On Weight Loss

Why not try something new and start loving and accepting yourself? Accepting your body for the precious gift that it is? Focus on all the amazing things it does for you so you can experience this physical life? Are you wanting to lose weight from a place of self love, patience and kindness?

We are always progressing. Be open to learning new ways of caring for your body! One day we might be five steps ahead, and sometimes we take two steps back. You do yourself a great disservice by labeling yourself as static at the stage that you’re at. Accept yourself.. and others just as they are.

From this place of compassion you will start to feel a tremendous source of inspiration to make better choices, out of love for yourself. Not motivation, because motivation can only take you so far and its seeking energy from an external source. Inspiration on the other hand, is your personal connection to your Higher Self, to Source.

When we connect to this aspect of ourselves, it fuels us with an endless amount of energy. This awareness also helps us attract like minded others who can assist us from a place of loving acceptance and non judgement.

Don't Remain A Victim

Sometimes its easier to blame something or someone but that keeps us immobilized, we remain victims. We must be ready to look at ourselves very honestly and be willing to take full responsibility for all our thoughts, beliefs, choices, actions or non actions! Surround yourself with people who see the magnificent soul that you are, and who support you to take full responsibility for your life.

Start to affirm today “I am perfect. I love and appreciate myself just as I am” ..and observe your body lovingly start to co-operate!
